The Play for Peace Tour was founded in 2015 in Providence, Rhode Island by 9x time overseas Professional Lamonte Thomas. Graduate of the sports entertainment an event managment program at Johnson & Wales University. Lamonte wanted to find a way to connect his first love, basketball with his passion; giving back to his community.
The highlight is the Play for Peace Tour is a Pro All-Star Game. The goal is to spread our message and mirror this event at major markets throughout the country.

DURING SOME OF OUR EVENTS PROFESSIONALS PLAYERS STOP IN TO SHARE EXPERIENCES, ANSWER QUESTIONS, AND WORK HARDS ON WITH STUDENT-ATHLETES.
WORKING WITH RECREATIONS AND SCHOOLS
Since 2015 Play for Peace Tour has used innovation to continue to give back in the community, by offering
educational seminars, backpack giveaways, a scholarship fund, free basketball camps, and after school program. Our vision is to continue to spread our programs and events by collaborating with organizations across the world. We plan to get into more schools, partner with local programs and businesses to support local communities in various ways.
SHOWCASING FUTURE COLLEGE ATHLETES
The tour was created to give players something to look forward to every year in their city or State. "When i get bigger i hope i get invited to that game". We highlight student-athletes who are excelling on and off the court, showing leadership, positive attitude, and have goals of attending college.
OVER 75 PARTICIPANTS HAVE GONE ON TO ATTEND COLLEGE AFTER PARTICIPATING IN OUR EVENTS
